My favorite animal is penguin.Because its very funny and its looks like gentleman .They live in Antarctic.antarctic only have ice water and snow,Everywhere are cold .
Penguin are birds.but they cant fly.they can swim very fast .they often sleep on the water.And they often walk on the ice.

The chubby penguin in the picture is very cute, but its feet are bare. I asked my dad: Will the penguins feet stick to the ice? Dad said he wouldnt. Because the leg arteries of penguins can regulate blood flow according to the temperature of their feet, once they feel that the foot temperature is too low, they will supply them with more blood. The flow of blood in the leg blood vessels will accelerate, and the temperature of the feet will increase. Therefore, the temperature of penguin feet will always be a few degrees higher than that of the ice surface, and naturally they will not freeze on the ice surface.

Penguins live around the South Pole. They usually spend all their waking hours in the water. Only during the egg-laying and mating periods do penguins actually live on land. During the egg-laying period, the female penguin lays usually one egg. This egg is kept in a flap of skin, much like a pocket, located near the top of the penguin’s feet. The male and female penguins take turns caring for the egg. After the baby penguin is hatched, its mother takes care of it until it is able to walk. Then it joins the other babies, and the whole group is watched by a few adults.
Penguins commonly are black with black heads and white breasts. Large penguins often stand about 3 feet in height. Since a penguin’s legs are placed far back, it is able to maintain a very erect posture. It is amusing to watch penguins and to see how much the upright birds resemble humans in dress suits walking in a comical fashion.

the reason of mine to have keen on penguin is because their uniqueness,unlike with most of other animals,they only live in the South Pole,and unlike with most birds,though they cant fly,yet they can swim in the extreme cold glacier,and the most wonderful part is they can stand like a human and walking,its very cute when they are walking,Most of the endangered animals are very harmful,yet the penguin looks harmonious as well as entertaining,we even will put them on the movies and cartoons such as "Madagascar" and "Ice Age" and so on.
I like penguin,and when i grow up,wish to do research on the south pole to observe penguin and protect them.
